A song a day every day of my 25th year. I try to profile lesser-known and/or Canadian artists. My favourite genre is folk, and I generally go with whatever mood moves me that day. Some posts discuss the history of the artist or song and some are my reflections on the choice.

Katie Melua - A Happy Place
Yes, I am on a bit of a Katie Melua kick this week. She's just such a good songstress! This video is amazing to watch as well. So much action! I feel like either the director or musician made it resemble their own happy place. I like the visuals of other people's happy places! It makes me wonder how I would illustrate my own to the world...

Katie Melua - Two Bare Feet
Another song from my Running list this summer...
'Tis the month of romance, apparently, so 'twould be a shame not to include Miss Katie Melua this month. She is one of the most romantic singers I know. This is the least romantic of her songs, but I still feel the romance of it. I have this image in my head, while listening to it, of these two mice dancing together. Now that I've provided you with the video, you might not get that yourself, but these are good images, too!

Katie Melua - Closest Thing To Crazy
I REALLY need to update my iPod...seriously, if I have any more of this gush LOVE crap coming my way for the rest of this week, I may puke, or burst into tears as I did this morning...
Alas, I love Katie Melua to ever cut HER out of my life, at least not completely...maybe I'll just put a moratorium on it for, say, the next three weeks. That should get this single girl through Valentine's Day, no?
